Incoloy® metal products are superalloys that are composed of a nickel-iron-chromium base and can resist both carbonization and oxidization in high temperature settings. Incoloy® metal alloys are easy to fabricate, utilizing the same machines and processes as stainless steel. Incoloy® materials are available in numerous grades that provide enhanced protection against aggressive forms of corrosion.

Magellan Metals is your direct Incoloy® metal supplier. We provide custom work, short lead times, and quick delivery on all types of large or small quantities of Incoloy® shapes including tube, pipe, wire, sheet, and plate. We are also ISO Certified and provide advanced design expertise for all your Incoloy® alloy needs.

Incoloy® Superalloys for High Temperature & Corrosive Environments

Magellan Metals offers Incoloy® nickel-iron-chromium alloys in a wide range of formats including wire, plate, sheet, pipe fittings, bar, flanges, and more. View the individual product pages below for more information about the chemical analysis, available formats, and applications for each grade of Incoloy® we offer.

Incoloy® 800

Incoloy® 800 is manufactured for applications that require a higher creep-rupture strength and corrosion resistance in highly acidic environments. Incoloy® 800 also offers the high temperature oxidation and carburization resistance qualities that Incoloy® is best known.

Incoloy® 825

Superalloy Incoloy® 825 is exclusively fabricated to provide enhanced corrosion resistance in a wide range of environments.  The added titanium, copper, and molybdenum within Incoloy® 825 resists both reducing and oxidizing acids, to stress-corrosion cracking, and to localized attack such as pitting and crevice corrosion.

Incoloy® Material Advantages

Incoloy® superalloys are commonly utilized within high temperature applications that require a metal that can withstand highly acidic and corrosive environments. Incoloy® alloys provide the following beneficial qualities:
  • High temperature strength
  • Good corrosion resistance in acidic environments
  • High creep rupture strength
  • Good resistance to sulfuric atmospheres

Incoloy® Metal Alloy Applications

Incoloy® superalloys are commonly utilized in environments and applications that require advanced corrosion resistance within high temperature environments. Direct applications include:
  • Hot vessels for food, water, sea water
  • Sulfuric acid piping and vessels
  • Marine exhaust systems
  • Industrial furnaces
  • Heat exchangers
  • Hydrocarbon cracking

What is the Difference Between Incoloy® & Inconel®?

Both Incoloy® and Inconel® both belong to the same family of superalloys, but there are some subtle differences that separate these two metals. With slightly differing compositions, both Incoloy® and Inconel® are used for different types of applications. Inconel® contains over 50% nickel, which makes it more expensive than Incoloy® metal, while Incoloy® has a higher ferrous content and a lower overall cost of ownership.
