Monel R405® Wire
Monel R405® is a nickel-copper alloy that includes a controlled amount of sulfur to make it easier to machine. The free machining version of
Monel 400®, Monel R405® provides excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and good resistance to a broad range of substances, from rapidly-flowing brackish water and seawater to many caustic solutions, alkalis, and acids. This material meets UNS N04405, ASME SB-164, AMS 4674, and QQ-N-281 standards.
Monel R405® wire exhibits good mechanical properties across a wide temperature range (from subzero to 896°F/480°C). It can be joined by standard welding, brazing, and soldering methods.
